I was so excited for this scent, i even bought a bigger bottle of it instead of a trial(ordered the trial too but never recived) and man… is that bubble gum.
It says not to judge by the oob smell, so i decided to make some of my solid bubble bath with them.
Now i have bubble gum scented bubble bath.
To me, it smells the same oob and in products. Gum.

This candle was made with the NEW Moon Mist oil and honestly WHAT AN INCREDIBLE SCENT!
I’m blown away at the quality & how identical it is to the smell of moon mist, you can damn near eat it it smells that good!

As a Bluenoser, I REALLY want to love this fragrance. I really do. But it just doesn’t work for CP soap which is why I got it.
IT WILL WORK IN CP SOAP, but read the rest of the review before you think about buying this fragrance for soap.
OOB, this smells very bubblegummy like the other review said. I figured I would try a small test batch in CP soap. I soap at 80-90F. This fragrance oil is bright orange OOB. See where this is going? As soon as I poured the FO (1% ppw BTW) into the soap batter, my whole batter was orange. AND IT DOESN’T FADE OR GO AWAY. If a vanilla stabilizer is used, the orange fades slightly to a lighter orange. So bright moon mist colours look muddy. Yellow looks like mute yellow and not very bright. Purple looks brown and blue looks green. And not even a nice green. This doesn’t fade and you’re stuck with what everyone else has been calling my moon mist test batch, “Woodland Camo”. and it makes artisanal soap look bad. Especially since you want it to look like moon mist. Without a vanilla stabilizer, it will go dark brown from orange. The vanillin content is for sure on the higher end of 3-5% at least, if not maybe more.
I’ve waited almost 3 weeks to write this review since making a test batch and a regular batch with this FO. I wanted to give the FO a fair chance but it’s disappointed me from the start. While it otherwise behaved well in soap, with no ricing, no separation, no acceleration, no cracking, etc. the orange discolouration is terrible with this even after a full cure.
I see this FO seems to go better with candles, bath bombs, etc but it’s not for soap. At least, no pretty coloured soap. You’re stuck with brown or orange no matter how you go about making soap out of this FO.
On top of all that, the scent isn’t quite… there. It smells like bubblegum upfront with hardly any banana and grape scent to it. Mostly bubblegum. It smells more of cinnamon than it does banana and grape.
I’m giving this review 2 stars for the fact that the FO might/seem like it’s okay in other items but CP soap it is not. I will be using this FO in sprays and trying to sell it off as quickly as I can. It’s not for me.
I recommend buying 1oz and trying it out in your soap or other items to make sure it works. The fact that the oil itself is bright orange, should be disclosed in the description so people know. It will discolour as well.
